1st AquaticPollutants Joint Call 2020

Basic Information

The three Joint Programming Initiatives (JPIs) on Water, Oceans and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) are pleased to pre-announce a joint transnational call for research and innovation projects on risks posed to human health and the environment by pollutants and pathogens present in the water resources in the framework of the ERA-NET Cofund AquaticPollutants. DATES ARE PROVISIONAL AND MAYBE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Aim of the joint call The overall objectives of the call are to support research and identify knowledge gaps: - to establish integrated and cross-sectoral approaches for risk management combining the research areas regarding emerging pollutants, pathogens and antimicrobial resistance of the 3 JPIs under the overall topic „from the source to the mouth“, - to analyse the spread of emerging pollutants and pathogens related to antimicrobial resistance from the different sources (e.g. industries, urban areas), leading to impacts and risks to the environment and human health, - to describe the transformation of such emerging pollutants and pathogens and their effects when entering the different ecosystems and accumulating in the food chain, - to improve strategies and evaluate technologies for reducing the input of such emerging pollutants and pathogens at the sources, on their pathways and end-of-pipe.
Type of joint call Two Stages - Call with pre-proposals and full proposals submissions
