| Project Topic | We will develop a unique smart autonomous inflow control valve (S-AICV) capable of preventing water and gas breakthroughs in oil production pipes. This project will develop novel passive pressure sensors that will allow the S-AICV to operate as multiphase flow meter, feeding vital process data to the surface via an optical fibre. The S-AICV will be completely autonomous with no power supply/battery required and minimal moving parts, offering accurate, reliable inflow control at low cost. |
