Project Topic	The overall objective of the M4 innovation project is to deliver a novel, hand-held, mobile 3D scanning system that can digitise the human form in near real-time and simultaneously in visual and (thermal) infrared (IR) imaging modalities. Piecemeal approaches that perform one or two of the functions (i.e. either 3D scanning, IR imaging, visible imaging or real-time) exist, but there is no device on the market that will perform all functions at the same time.
