Project: First-of-a-kind medical device to provide lasting stroke protection for patients undergoing TAVI

Project Topic	The consortium will develop AURA, a novel embolic protection medical device (EPD) to provide lasting stroke protection for patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). AURA is inserted in the aortic arch, protecting the brain of patients by blocking the entry of stroke-triggering thrombi and debris released during the TAVI procedures. In this project, the consortium will deliver the final product and a pre-clinical data-package to lead to first-in-human trials.
