Project Topic	BASABOLT will develop a high performance, lightweight, corrosion resistant rock bolt for enhanced tunnel construction and 120 year life-expectancy. BASABOLT will weigh 66% less than the current market leader (Steel), while delivering life expectancy well beyond its steel counterpart and fully address the market need. BASABOLT will have shear strength and fire resistance significantly higher than composite bolts. It will be produced using innovative techniques specially adapted in this project.
