| Project Topic | In LAWIS we deliver a new generation of laser-based wind scanners for real time analysis of the wind profile in front of wind turbines. The scanner will be mounted on top of the wind turbine housing, (i.e the nacelle). The data is fed back to the turbine control system to optimize yaw and blade pitch, thereby maximizing the energy output. With LAWIS we will (i) increase the annual energy production of wind turbines and (ii) reduce system costs compared to current scanner systems on the market. |
