Project: Important improvements in the clinical management of hemicraniectomy

Develop an improved method for hemicraniectomy, a growing surgical procedure for managing certain stroke (MCA) patients, including the use of a new bioactive implant: Cranimosaic 3D. The project’s centerpiece is a clinical trial comparing Craniomosaic 3D with the established standard – the patient’s own bone, as control, the latter having an unacceptably high failure rate. The project’s main deliverable is proof the new implant technology is a preferable first choice to current standard.
