Project Topic	EmpHATIC will develop & commercialise high efficiency, ultra-low emission liquid fuel powered stoves & heaters for marine applications based on catalytic burning. This represents a significant step beyond the state of the art, leading to commercial systems with increased efficiencies >50% for marine stoves & >20% for marine air heaters whilst reducing size by 30%. EmpHATIC will deliver two pre-commercial prototypes (a 2.4kW stove & 2.5kW air heater) tested to end-user specifications & standards.
