Aim of the joint call Climate change, sustainable land-use and integrated management in an urban context. 1. Urban response to global challenges: Identification and analyses of the driving forces of urban change, and development of concepts and tools to describe, measure and respond to their social, economic and ecological impacts at the local level. 2.Urban structure and urban processes: Theoretical and empirical studies on the interrelation between urban structure and urban processes at city and regional level, integrating social, economic and ecological dimensions. 3. Managing urban change: Planning and management procedures at various levels and stages integrating social, economic and ecological aspects; development of new and evaluation of existing strategies and tools to be used at all stages of these procedures.
