European CHIPS Act/ Amendment of the Single Basic Act (SBA)
On 8 February 2022 the European Commission adopted a ‘European chips act package’ focused on the strategic objective of increasing the resilience of the EU’s semiconductor ecosystem and increasing its global market share.
The package includes a proposal for a Council Regulation amending Regulation (EU) 2021/2085 establishing the Joint Undertakings under Horizon Europe, as regards the Chips Joint Undertaking.
