Description

Given the success of MARTEC, at the end of the first phase, 19 ministries and funding organisations from 15 European countries have got involved. MARTEC quickly formed a strong network and has launched two calls in 2008, 2009 and has a further one planned for 2010. So far applications for proposals have involved participants from 8 countries, and funded projects have a total value of about 10 million Euros.

Main research priorities of the network

shipbuilding - new ship types, structures, ship design shipbuilding - production process and technology maritime equipment and services ship and port operation services inland water and intermodal transport offshore industry, offshore technology offshore structures for renewable energy polar technology fishing, aquaculture maritime safety maritime security environmental and climate impact human elements
