Project: Rolling Mills Advanced Control Solution

The project for the Rolling Mills' Advanced Control Solution (MACRO) is an ambitious research and development effort, addressed to the development of advanced control solutions to meet the technological, economical and flexibility needs that the Rolling Mill Revamping sector is demanding. The work will be focused on the development of advanced thickness, eccentricity, flatness and level 2 optimization control solutions. To do so, the latest advances in dynamic mathematical adaptive models and adaptive learning techniques will be used. The result of the project will be an innovative control solution, economically competitive, modular, flexible and easy to integrate solution for cold rolling mill revamping projects.
