Project: Juncture replacement through Additive Manufacturing & Electro-spun Scaffolds for human BONEs

The skeleton problems could be considered as the most typical injuries in our body. For this reason, the development of customized implants/gifts is demanded by the patients as part of the healing process, and the additive manufacturing technologies have been identified as promising techniques to achieve products at reasonable costs. Some efforts have been carried out using metal materials but problems with size adaptation (in particular with children) for permanent implants are moving the developments to new biosorbable materials. For this reason, the development of most robust and cost-efficient manufacturing processes to obtain complex scaffolds with controlled porosity along with the development of suitable materials to be implanted into the body (i.e. resorbable materials) have to be considered as a key target for the medical industry, and JAMES BONE could be the answer.
