Project: Development of Added-value Products with REcycled and BIO-based materials
The project aims to demonstrate the ability of implementing the use of recycled plastic and bio-based materials in high added value products such as automotive parts, cosmetics and food packaging devices or industrial equipment. The goal is to reduce the carbon footprint while avoiding alterations in the technical, aesthetic and economic characteristics of the final products reaching the market. The consortium regroups a total of five companies and universities all working in complementary fields covering the whole polymer industry value chain. The project partners will not only work on formulation and compounding of bio-charged plastic materials and their production and implementation in plastic parts, but also on the development of new processes and product design. Because these partners have a good knowledge on the expected clients and market values, it will be possible to develop global technical solutions that use recycled and bio-based materials and are economically optimized.
