Project: Fertilizers with slow/controlled release of active compounds, prepared by microencapsulation in environmental friendly polymeric structures

The main objective of the project is the development and implementation of innovative technologies of manufacture and application in organic farms of original slow release microencapsulated fertilizers (nanosuspensions or dry granules) having better efficiency at reduced doses of utilization than conventional granulated fertilizers. R&D transnational consortium consists of five partners, public organisations with multidisciplinary expertise and two complementary SMEs from Romania and Spain. Final results of the project are expected to increase the economic competitivity of the SMEs to gain superior positions on European markets while ensuring the protection of environment, efficient management of resources, consolidation of diversified and equlibrated ecoagrosystems and increasing life quality of the consumers of more healthy agrofood.
