Basic Information

Description

FENCO-NET is a grouping of European organisations having responsibilities relating to the funding of national R&D programmes in the field of fossil energy. FENCO-NET is flexible in character, able to accommodate a range of working relationships from unanimous concerted effort through optional participation by any number of members to bilateral collaboration.

The primary function of FENCO-NET is to facilitate and encourage transnational cooperation of national R&D programmes in the fossil energy field. Also, as far as it is relevant to that primary function, FENCO-NET seeks to facilitate liaison between member organisations in their activities relating to the programmes of the European Union (EU) and those undertaken under other international collaborative agreements.
