Project Topic The development of a whole new procedure for improving barley malt is planned • by improving the process of generating higher genetic variability and the process of trait identification/product selection out of 20000 single mutants • by developing high throughput methods and optimization of the measurement design for the traits “Water uptake (faster germination)” and “Higher Thermostability of enzymes” • by adopting the final product processing /production in the malt house
