Project: Innovative sensor for continuous monitoring of heart function during and after surgery
CardiSense aims at seizing a major market opportunity by developing a sensor for intra- and postoperative monitoring of the cardiac contractility that will radically improve heart function assessment in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. CardiSense will provide detailed heart motion data by embedding a miniaturized accelerometer into a Temporary Myocardial Electrode (TME) to be placed beneath the heart surface to enable early detection of complications such as Myocardial Ischemia(MI).
