Project Topic	Our aim is to restore locomotion in people with spinal cord injury who would otherwise remain bound to a wheelchair for the rest of their lives. We will deliver a multidirectional low-inertia bodyweight-supporting rehabilitation robot (“LEAP”) that enables active gait training in a safe and natural environment. The LEAP will be coupled with an implanted spinal stimulation device (INS) to form an integrated therapy that rewires residual neural pathways, thus durably improving leg motor control.
