Description

Over four years of collaboration, carried out with the support of EU funding, the partners of the ERA-ENVHEALTH network (16 E&H funders from 10 countries and representatives of various stakeholders) have joined forces and resources to help increase the relevance and efficiency of E&H research in Europe.

The originality of ERA-ENVHEALTH was that a first call for proposals was launched at the start of the project to experiment joint funding and fully assess its implementation. Also a specific task was established to evaluate the 1st call - both the management and selection process of the call and the impacts of the 1st call and provide recommendations for future calls. The project ended in 2012 but the network continues to collaborate.

Main research priorities of the network

Environment and Health. All applications must link the environmental sciences with clearly defined and significant problems in human health. All reseach funded must be clearly policy-oriented.
