e-InfraNet: 1st joint call for proposals for a transnational education programme on green sustainable ICT.

Basic Information

The course will enable participants to acquire the skills and knowledge required to have an impact on the environmental performance of their organisation’s IT infrastructure. The proposed course material should include among others the following elements: • environmental/sustainability audit methodologies and examples • case studies relevant to in-service courses for operations managers of network, grid, HPC and campus computing facilities • a more general lecture as an Awareness Briefing which can be used also as a stand-alone presentation at conferences and seminars • access to co-operation with a major live data centre site It is envisaged that the successful project will provide a mixture of delivery methods (e-learning, workshops etc.) and assessment activities. A roadmap for the course implementation and further development should be developed.
