Aim of the joint call CORNET is short for Collective Research Networking, an international network combining funding programmes from several countries and regions worldwide. The CORNET approach is bottom up, inviting SME associations or groups from all industrial sectors dealing with any technology to submit proposals with research partners. At least two countries have to be involved in one research project which needs to follow the rules of pre-competitive Collective Research. CORNET, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), accomplishes an average success rate of 66 per cent and aims to strengthen the innovative capacity of SMEs.
