Description

BONUS, the joint Baltic Sea research and development programme will run from 2010 to 2017 and is jointly funded by eight EU member states around the Baltic Sea with the participation of the EU. It addresses the critical environmental challenges faced by Baltic Sea ecosystems and the related natural resources that sustain the economies and social welfare of the surrounding States.

The objective of BONUS is to enhance the Baltic Sea Region's research capacity to respond effectively to the major environmental and key societal challenges the region faces.
