| Project Topic | Currently the availability and possibilities of active and assisted living technologies are not evident to the aging population as well as service providers from government and business. This is because most of the allocable information is limited to the scientific community and technology experts working in this field. The ActiveAdvice project focuses on AAL awareness creation and active advisory across Europe, transferring knowledge, products and services from the scientific community and professionals to the end users. Three end user groups are therefore considered for the project: consumers, i.e. older adults and their relatives (AAL2C), businesses (AAL2B) and governments (AAL2G). In order to benefit all end users, the ActiveAdvice decision support environment is developed. The environment offers different user interfaces and service modules and is designed according to specific user needs to access an Intelligent AAL Product & Service Cloud. It contains a wide range of products, services, and showcases and makes use of expert knowledge and user generated content like ratings and reviews. End users with experience on AAL products and services contribute to the cloud and act as digital advisors for other end users interested in or in need of AAL technologies and services. Additionally, a network of human advisors is created who are empowered by the ActiveAdvice environment. Human Advisors receive special training, focusing on AAL advisory and environment usage, and a certification as Authorized Active Advisors that enables them to spread the idea across Europe. Taking these measures, ActiveAdvice is conceptualized in a way that it pushes SMEs in the AAL ecosystem, and supports the identification of new business fields as well as advisory services on local, national and European level. Moreover, strong business models are explored, sustaining the success and the availability of the ActiveAdvice environment beyond the project life cycle. |
