Workshop Report: Efficient implementation of P2Ps – Quo Vadis?
The workshop on 21 June, Brussels, involved over 70 stakeholders including representatives of the ERAC Working Group, Article 185 initiatives, funding agencies responsible for the implementation of P2P calls, ERA-LEARN and its Advisory Board, and the European Commission. It commenced with a summary of the work and preliminary conclusions of the ERAC Ad-hoc Working Group. This included a desire to streamline the EU R&I partnership landscape and increase the efficiency of implementation. The stakeholders discussed options for a more centralised and coordinated implementation of the activities of these partnerships, in particular the joint calls and the management of data related to proposals and projects.
Slides by the European Commission and the workshop report are now online.

On 7 June 2018 the Commission adopted its proposal for Horizon Europe, the 9th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. It will become operational from January 2021 onwards. For the first time, an overall policy approach for all kinds of partnerships, from ERA-NETs to JTIs, FET Flagships and even the EIT/KICs has been developed and uniformly labelled ‘European Partnerships’. ERA-LEARN has collected all relevant information that is available at the moment and will update this continuously.
