ERAC discusses European Partnerships under the next Framework Programme

The European Research Area and Innovation Committee (ERAC) meets in Dublin on 12-13 October 2026. The committee will exchange views on priority areas for European Partnerships under the next Framework Programme, Horizon Europe 2028-2034 (FP10). The European Commission will present an emerging portfolio configuration: a draft set of 19 proposed partnership areas, reflecting choices on prioritisation and thematic aggregation. The configuration is work in progress and not a final Commission proposal. Delegations will discuss whether the emerging portfolio provides a sufficiently focused basis for areas where a partnership approach brings clear added value. The indicative timetable envisages convergence on the portfolio by the end of 2026, preparations for selecting partnerships during 2027 and their launch in 2028.

Registration open for the ERA-LEARN Networking Event for the European Partnership community in Vienna

ERA-LEARN will organise a networking event for the European Partnership community on 18 November 2026 in Vienna, Austria. The one-day event will will focus on the implementation of European Partnerships, on fostering networking and exchange among stakeholders. Building on a targeted and interactive format, it will bring together a focused group of participants to facilitate in-depth discussions and practical knowledge sharing.  

The programme will consist of plenary sessions and parallel, hands-on workshops addressing key aspects of the implementation of current partnerships, enabling participants to exchange experiences, identify good practices and discuss common challenges in an open and collaborative setting. Networking will be facilitated with a networking tool.

While the plenary programme will not address ongoing discussions on Horizon Europe 2028-34 (FP10) or portfolio building, there will be an open space for participants interested in exchanging views on FP10 in an informal setting.
