The MKB (Meta Knowledge Base) platform is a complete management system for ERA-NETs and similar projects. It covers community information to researchers and stakeholders as well as a closed intranet for project participants with mail lists, discussion forum, calendar, and project management tools as work packages, deliverables, to-do lists, etc. The platform is powered by the open source content management system Drupal, which secures easy update of content and possible extensions by application from a large number of user contributed modules.

For applicants to a call, the MKB platform provides:

Information about the call and the funders
Partner search and match-making
Development and submission of proposals in a confidential setting
Creation of budgets targeted to appropriate funders
Feedback of proposal evaluations

For the call administrators and the funders, the MKB platform provides:

Modifiable forms and budget structure for online proposals
Online screening of proposals by the call office
Online approval of eligibility by the funders
Online expert reviews of proposals by modifiable evaluation forms
Online selection of proposals with immidiate calculation of funding requirements vs. availability per funder
In cofund type projects immidiate calculation of EU top-up
Individual and mass email communication to proposal coordinators

In addition, the platform offers:

Publication of details about funded projects
Online reporting from funded projects

The MKB platform can be delivered free of costs for own installation in a web server. For hosting, installation, and maintenance a fee to cover working hours will be charged.
