Workshop on Phasing-out Strategies - Workshop Documentation is now availble
In line with the legal requirements of the Horizon Europe Regulation, all European Partnerships are expected to prepare an “exit strategy and measures for phasing out from the Programme” as part of their lifecycle, intended as an ex-ante selection criterion. All partnerships are expected to adopt their phasing-out strategies by March 2026. To support partnerships in this process, the European Commission organised a workshop dedicated to the development of phasing-out strategies. The workshop documentation is now available.

EC Report on Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) to analyse Technology Progression in Horizon Europe
The European Commission has published a new report on Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) in Horizon Europe. According to the study, while most projects begin as basic research and ideas (TRL 1-3), almost half reach the 'demonstration' stage (TRL 6-8) by the end. Regarding European Partnerships, the study contains data on Joint Undertakings and co-programmed European Partnerships.
Most projects in Joint Undertaking are concentrated in the range of TRL4-TRL6, representing 68% of all EU contributions in the JUs. 29% is allocated to projects at TRL7 and above. In co-programmed European Partnerships, TRL5-TRL7 represent 86% of all funding, with TRL8 and TRL9 combined accounting for 10%. The report provides no data on co-funded European Partnerships.
