Save the Date! European Partnership Stakeholder Forum 2025
|
|
ERA-LEARN and the European Commission are jointly organising the fourth European Partnership Stakeholder Forum, which will take place as a one-day event in Brussels on 3 December 2025. As in previous years, the event will provide an excellent networking opportunity, bringing together the entire community of stakeholders from Co-funded, Co-programmed and Institutionalised Partnerships, with a particular focus on engaging the new Partnerships.

The European Commission has adopted the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2025 and the amendment to the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2023-2025 (for the MSCA 2023-2025 and General Annexes 2023-2025 work programme parts). The adopted work programme texts have been made available as PDF files here. The calls, topics and actions will be published on the Funding & Tenders Portal.

Commission Expert Group on the Design and Selection of Directional Initiatives
|
|
Under the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, major directional initiatives - such as European Partnerships and EU Missions - play a crucial role in addressing complex and urgent challenges. The European Commission aims to establish a dedicated expert group to develop and test a robust methodology to guide the identification, design and selection of these directional initiatives under the next Framework Programme (FP10).

European Partnerships in the Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe
|
|
The Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe was published by the European Commission on 30 April 2025, including an assessment of European Partnerships against their underlying criteria. The overall tone is positive, highlighting their leverage effect, pooling of resources and long-term cooperation. At the same time, however, it highlights challenges such as complexity, bureaucracy and lack of resources.
