Project: Automated Travel Insurance, Health and Risk Management

The eSureTrip Project will develop a security platform integrating data from travel management systems with security data from governmental and private organizations assessing security and medical risks throughout the world. Possible types of threats caused by the environment, technology, humans, organizations and politics will be transmitted immediately to the travellers via available electronic communication. _x000D__x000D_The eSureTrip Security Platform will deliver relevant information based on the set itinerary to the traveller’s mobile phone. The service knows where the traveller is according to the trip plan and it is able to use this data to send relevant information when responding to keyword requests or to locate travellers during emergencies._x000D__x000D_The benefits for the traveller and the employer can be divided into three CO areas:_x000D__x000D_PRE TRIP_x000D_- Risk management (reduction of different risks related to the actual travel)._x000D_- Insurance covers can be designed for each individual trip based upon the employers HR policy._x000D_- Specific Risk Information for the destination can be provided electronically to the traveller._x000D_- Individualized medical information can be provided electronically for each trip. _x000D__x000D_DURING TRIP_x000D_- Damage control._x000D_- Electronic communication if the risk profile of actual destination or travel path changes during trip._x000D_- Planning of and execution of possible evacuations._x000D_- HR Portal which enables 1-door access to information about all staff travelling, their location, hotel, contact details etc._x000D__x000D_POST TRIP_x000D_- Effective administration._x000D_- Settling of Insurance Premiums etc. - electronically - per trip._x000D_- Extensive statistics with relation to travel patterns for future risk prevention._x000D_- Automation of handling of claims._x000D__x000D_The eSureTrip Platform will make it possible to include future information services for the benefit of the travellers and their companies. These information services can include 'pushed' messages send automatically to the traveller e.g. after the traveller has accepted which kind of messages to be pushed - and 'pulled' messages where the traveller can get information about specific topics near him when keying in a question (specific restaurants, transport facilities etc.). The platform will (within the project with its prototypes) interface with P databases but it will be made as an open structure making it marketable worldwide._x000D__x000D_The platform modules will be built with a programming tool giving the optimum flexibility and scalability in order to handle future business and multiple P relations. As the IT-services are going to be marketed worldwide it must be able to handle individual needs for a specific travel system and country. This means that it will be able to handle multiple languages and a choice of different currencies together with a global consolidated currency._x000D__x000D_The Consortium consists of 3 SME's - all R&D performing - and 1 big company. All 4 Ps have an intensive experience within their fields covering travel management services, telecommunication products and services and within the insurance area._x000D__x000D_The CO contractor TPE is a shared service centre providing numerous services to its member associates. For more than a decade the company has expanded its services to include considerable cost savings through bulk purchasing, current follow-up on the companies' travelling policies and rationalization of travel management. _x000D__x000D_conTgo Consulting Ltd (England) specialises in the development of mobile-enabled solutions for the corporate travel industry.conTgo's core competence is based upon the design and development of travel-related services which can be delivered to any mobile handset based on the specific requirements and needs of corporations and travel management companies. "conTgo" is short for "content on the go" and refers directly to the vision of providing the traveller with the right information at the right time throughout the travel experience. _x000D__x000D_TNS is a company providing services to businesses and agencies operating in the travelling business. The company was established in 2000 and has a qualified team of experts dedicated to the development of solutions for the Business & Leisure Travel Market. The activities is parted into the following four CO areas: WEB applications, System Integration, ICT Services and Corporate Travel Solutions._x000D__x000D_ihi Bupa is a global health and care organisation and as a provident association able to re-invest all profits earned in better health and care services. With ihi Bupa as a P the project eSureTrip has direct access to a substantial amount insurance market.
