| Project Topic | The goal is to develop an aerobic fermentation process to valorise potato steam peels, a low value side stream of industrial potato processing, into high value microbial protein (SCP). This includes the development of a dedicated microbiome, a fermentation reactor, the aerobe fermentation process parametrisation, the downstream processing to separate and dry the microbial protein. This project will deliver a stable microbiome, a reactor prototype and a process flow diagram with mass balances. |
