Project Topic	The key element to achieve a large-scale culture of adherent cells is a microcarrier culture, which is a stirred suspension of synthetic microspheres. Cells attach to the microcarriers and, when ready, they must be detached; this currently requires processes (e.g., trypsinization) that reduce the cell viability. This project will deliver a new generation of thermoresponsive microcarriers that allow the cells to be easily detached by a small variation of temperature without being damaged.
