Project: Development of an innovative Ventilator for artificial ventilation of prematures, infants and adults
A prototype of an innovative medical ventilator will be developed for respiratory treatment and support from the smallest preterm infant to the biggest adult. Integration of sensor systems and interfacing to external sensors enable the development of physiological feedback concepts like surface EMG signals for better breathing support, physiological feedback control of Oxygen etc. It will be the first ventilator in which disposable parts are consistently used to reduce the risk of infection.
