Project Topic The target of this project is to obtain ultra-hydrophobicity directly in the PET fibres, modifying the internal structure of the polymer in order to provide the ultra-hydrophobicity character inherent to the fibre. The ultra-hydrophobic effect will be more durable than in the case of a finishing process, being more resistant to washing and abrasion. PET fibres modified could be used in many different textile markets like upholstery, automotive textiles, sportwear, outdoor fabrics, home textiles
