Project Topic	This project will deliver self-healing polymer materials, produced by processes scalable to industrial volumes, for application as medium and high voltage power cable sheaths. In addition to protecting against mechanical damage during installation and operation, the materials will repair defects that could otherwise lead to reduced cable performance or failure. Self-healing sheaths will reduce maintenance costs by 70% and risk of failure by 50%, providing major savings for network operators.
