Project: Foreign Object Debris and Bird-Aircraft Strike Avoidance
FODBASA aims at integrating high level key systems components to build up a unique sensor capable of simultaneous FODA (Foreign Object Debris Avoidance) and BASA (Bird-Aircraft Strike Avoidance) actions. The envisaged system, based on state-of-the-art military technology, will deliver a cost effective solution without sacrificing performance. FODBASA will allow for important operational space gains in airport critical zones, improving not just airports’ safety but also their capacity.
