| Project Topic | A new animal model, an in vitro test system and a new diagnostic test will be generated by combining an established genetic animal model for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) with another animal model for age-dependent mitochondrial impairment. The new model will be tested for drug response via histological, electrophysiological and behavioural tests as well as epigenetic profiling for an enhanced level of face and predictive validity.
