Project Topic	We want to develop a tensioner system for steel catenary risers (SCRs) to be used in the production of deep and ultra-deep sea oil developments. In these depths, classic SCRs are not anymore feasible due to the strong fatigue damage suffered at the touch-down location. The Industry thus uses instead much more expensive solutions such as flexible or steel lazy-wave risers (SLWRs). The proposed product ensures that SCRs remain the most cost-effective solution, even in ultra-deep sea harsh waters.
