Project Topic 1. Challenges addressed and AAL-solutions proposed: Improvement of older people’s access to, acceptance, trust, and use of ICT-based services, customisation of services to individual needs and wishes, and accessibility of the HCI. 2. Target groups for the AAL-solution proposal: Primary end-users: People with beginning dementia (MCI) or dementia, and secondary endusers (carergivers, i.e. family members and/or health-care personnell, depending on te life and family situation of the person). 3. Technology to be employed: MYLIFE employs different Android-based solutions implemented on touch-screens (mobile phones, tablets PCs and PCs). Content will be created by deploying freely available online services on Internet on a selfserve basis. The solution is, and its future versions will be, implemented as platformindependent e-services, the user interface of which will be designed for all, and thus highly accessible. 4. Business model: Software as a service: Software that is freely available over the Internet and is deployed to run on a PC or a mobile phone. The service provider licenses the MYLIFE-product to the end-user through a subscription or a “pay-as-you-go” model. 5. End user participation is taken care of by a model in which SMBs providing tehhnology is palced in the coordinating country, and end-users in coordinating country and all other participating countries. The user organisations aroperate within dementia care and service development. 6. Ethical issues have a prominent role in the project through dedicated work package. 7. Impacts: MYLIFE will reduce social isolation and boredom, stimulate cognitive ability, enable persons with dementia live at home longer, enable participation and self-servicing, reduce caregiver's stress,reduce the cost of equipment in the home for telecare of telehealth substantially.
