Project Topic 1. Challenges addressed and AAL-solutions proposed The aim of AmCo is to develop an innovative, integrated new standard AAL- platform hosting personalized, multimodal service bundles to enable older persons to manage their activities of daily living by using digital self services. The creation of an easy-to-handle AAL-system which can be used over different devices supporting the mobility of the user is one of the main focuses. The proposed system architecture will support users by providing individual service bundles adapted to their individual situation and by defining APIs for interoperability to better integrate service providers like emergency and care organisations, shops, personal assistance, etc. in order to enable a critical mass of easily-reachable services. 2. Target groups for the AAL-solution proposal The service offering platform enabling easy access to services to improved usability – adapted for seniors managing their activities of daily living and therefore takes active part in the self service society. So the mobility of elderly persons will be supported. 3. Technology to be employed Defining and developing of a standard API for the easy and fast integration of third party service. Defining and developing an user interaction module support different devices for accessing service in a comfortable and easy way. Different business models will be analysed to get best fitted models for service bundles and customers. 4. Furthermore, preferences might change over time, may vary depending on the kind of service to be consumed or other circumstances. User tests will be carried out in order to get additional insights on this topic. 5. End user participation The Users of the Platform are involved from the beginning.
