Basic Information
Description
The Eurostars-2 programme is aimed at supporting research and development performing small and medium-sized enterprises (R&D SMEs). Eurostars-2 targets R&D SMEs transnational research which contributes to competitiveness, growth and job creation. It contributes to speeding up the development of the technologies and innovations that will underpin tomorrow’s businesses and help innovative European SMEs to grow into world-leading companies.
Eurostars-2 is jointly undertaken by 34 Participating states and Partner countries and the European Union. In the 2014-2020 period it has a total public budget of €1.14 billion.
Main research priorities of the network
Eurostars is a bottom-up programme, meaning that project applications are accepted from any technological domain, for any market. The only restriction is that the project outcome must be destined for civilian purposes.
